Balodaya School, Nepal - King Edward VI Five Ways visit
Pupils and staff from King Edward VI Five Ways School, Birmingham visited Balodaya School as part of their KE Adventure Nepal trek and tour. The UK team worked alongside Balodaya pupils and staff brightening up the school buildings, creating a shady outdoor learning space and generally getting to know each other. The visit is part of Juniper Trust's ongoing support for Balodaya, one of only a handful of non-fee paying schools in the area, and as such, a vital resource for the poorest families aspiring to provide their children with a good, basic education. Five Ways visit and work improved the Balodaya's resources and also helps to maintain and raise local people's confidence in the school.
