Island School Project - Kenya

Jo Richardson Community School have made three visits now to Island School in Ol Maisor, a small village beneath Mount Kenya and helped with repairing the roof and walls, painting class rooms, making benches and desks and fitting rainwater catchment systems. Over the three school trips, in 2007, 2009 and 2011,  they raised a total of almost £10,000 to help build new concrete classrooms to replace existing mud hut classrooms, which were badly in need of repair. The Juniper Trust has matched the money raised by Jo Richardson Community School.
