Jersey College for Girls
Jersey College went out to the Markha Valley in India in 2006. They spent a day at an orphanage in Leh where they got to know the children, played games and gave them an English lesson. They shared the cooking of a meal before performing songs for each other.
In October 2009 the College went to Nepal where they met the children at Chobar School and were present for the official hand-over of the underground water tank that they raised money for. They also gave the children some English lessons and painted murals on the school wall to brighten up the appearance of the building.
Since returning from their trip the girls have been very keen to raise more funds for their new friends in Nepal.
