During the Autumn of 2007, the Juniper Trust financed the purchase of a solar panel, as well as an extensive order of medical equipment for HOF’s Emergency Obstetric Care unit in the Rasuwa District of Nepal. These items were sent to the HOF medical clinic, situated in a remote region in the north of the country, located 20 kilometers south of the Tibetan border. The clinic provides preventative healthcare for a catchment area of more than 7,000 villagers; it’s specially equipped Emergency Obstetric Care unit provides life-saving emergency delivery and stabilization services for rural-living women and their infants.  The Juniper Trust's support has enabled the clinic to upgrade their emergency obstetric care unit with wonderful new equipment and increase their ability to provide better-quality services for the mothers and infants.
